How to enable AirPrint for any printer using AirPrint Hacktivator

When Apple updated recently updated iOS to version 4.2.1 it enabled the ability to print from iPhones and iPads with what they call ‘AirPrint’. Unfortunately, the list of compatible printers is currently quite disappointing with only a handful of HP printers fully compatible with the feature. Luckily, there is a way to enable support for other printers using AirPrint Hacktivator (download link below)
Currently the following instructions only apply for Mac OS X users. However, new hacks seem to be coming out for PC users, including this one posted by German blog Macerkopf.
How to enable AirPrint on any printer:
1. Download AirPrint Hacktivator, unzip it, and run it
2. Slide the switch within the app to ON and enter your administrator password
3. Click OK
4. Setup your printer of choice from System Prefrences> Print & Fax (video above) As long as you are connected to your network, your selected printer should now work with AirPlay on your iOS device.
